Step 2: Choose a Customer Account Option

After entering the Customer Accounts section, you can choose one of these following options:

Accounts are disabled: This option does not require your customers to create an account or to log in during checkout. However, they have to put their information by themselves at checkout, because blank fields won’t be filled in advance.

Accounts are optional: This option allows your customers to decide whether they want to create an account or not, making creating an account is not a necessary obligation to check out. In case your customers already have an account and they’re logged in, then their address fields are filled automatically when placing orders.

Accounts are required: With this option, your customers necessarily need to create an account, or have one and be logged in to complete the checkout. This setting is very convenient while managing a store with wholesale or members-only identity. Address fields are filled automatically when placing orders.
